In a dramatic match, full of turns and last-minute drama, Napoli fought back to earn a 1-1 point against Inter Milan in injury time, keeping the fans on the edge of their seats right to the end.

First Half: Inter Scores First

The match was brought to life in the 22nd minute as **Federico Dimarco** curled a beautiful free-kick over Napoli's wall and into the top-left corner, with goalkeeper Nikita Contini left clutching at air. Inter had enjoyed plenty of possession in the early exchanges, but Napoli's rearguard was standing strong until Dimarco's intervention.

There was massive controversy right on the eve of halftime when Inter manager **Simone Inzaghi** was yellow-carded following a heated exchange with the referees. This set the second half up for high drama.

Second Half: Napoli's Fierce Pursuit

Napoli returned from the break with more intensity. Antonio Conte made some clever substitutions in the team, swapping them with **Philip Billing** and **Cyril Ngonge** to add bite to the attack. They were nearly through in the 65th minute when **Scott McTominay** saw a shot comfortably saved by Inter's Josep Martinez.

Inter's backline began to tremble when Napoli burst forward. The leveller arrived in the 87th minute: a rebound fell at **Philip Billing**'s feet and he slotted the ball into the bottom corner to tie the match. Stadio Diego Armando Maradona erupted, but Napoli were not finished. In time added on, Ngonge almost won the match with a fierce low shot, but Martinez made an excellent save.

This encounter was as thrilling as billed in Serie A, with intelligent movements, fine displays, and raw emotions. Inter will regret not sealing this match off, but Napoli's comeback shows that they're becoming increasingly threatening under Conte.

Both sides remain in the mix for European spots, and this result leaves the season's storyline very much alive and interesting.
