Napoli returned to defeat Juventus 2-1 in Serie A. It was the second in the previous five matches between the two teams that both teams scored.
Napoli took control early, but they almost fell behind within the first six minutes. Kenan Yıldız picked up the pass from Khephren Thuram and took down Leonardo Spinazzola, but a great block by Alex Meret denied him.
The hosts kept on coming and were menacing in the open spaces, but any crosses they tried were met reasonably well by the Bianconeri, with debutante Randal Kolo Muani demonstrating that he could hold the ball up before Teun Koopmeiners sent his effort high and harmless over the crossbar.
Matteo Politano nearly scored with a fine volley on the edge of the box, and Nico Gonzalez broke forward but shot wide at the other end.
Juventus then escaped in trouble as Manuel Locatelli intercepted Michele Di Gregorio's terrible pass in front of Scott McTominay. Stanislav Lobotka then had a go from range that just cleared the bar, and two errors by Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa proved extremely costly.
The midfielder nodded over from a decent chance, prior to attempting an interception and instead sending the ball across to Kolo Muani, who finished calmly.Matteo Politano attempts to seek a reply before the break with a free-kick - one which he won - that almost finds a way through.
Napoli are stubborn at the restart as Romelu Lukaku's header is somehow tipped over by a fine Di Gregorio save.
Anguissa didn't need an invitation in scoring Politano's cross from the right flank past Weston McKennie and choosing the bottom corner with a far more clinical header in the 57.
There was also a deflection behind by Andrea Cambiaso to keep out Politano and also by Federico Gatti to keep out Lukaku, as Gli Azzurri went all out to take the lead.
Scott McTominay was brought down by Manuel Locatelli to create an opportunity that Lukaku then seized, calmly slotting the ball past Di Gregorio the wrong way.
One each, Napoli were never at risk of losing a seventh consecutive game - six points ahead at the top of Serie A - although Inter Milan had two games in hand.
They also caused Juventus to lose for the first time in 22 league matches this season, and it's unfortunate for a team that has only one victory in their previous seven games in all competitions.
