AS Roma delivered a dominant performance, defeating Parma 5-0 at the Stadio Olimpico to extend their unbeaten away record in head-to-head clashes to 21 matches (W17, D4).

This emphatic win marked a measure of revenge for Roma after their last meeting in 2021, which saw Parma emerge victorious.

Paulo Dybala was the star of the show, scoring twice to lead Roma’s charge. His first came from the penalty spot in the sixth minute after drawing a foul from Botond Balogh.

Alexis Saelemaekers doubled Roma's lead five minutes later with a stunning volley. Parma fought back, with Hernani and Emanuele Valeri testing Roma goalkeeper Mile Svilar, but the woodwork and Svilar’s heroics kept the visitors scoreless.

Despite missed chances, including a close effort from Stephan El Shaarawy before halftime, Roma extended their lead early in the second half. A deflected shot from Saelemaekers fell kindly to Dybala, who tapped in his second goal.

Leandro Paredes added a fourth with a penalty after Valentin Mihăilă’s foul, and Artem Dovbyk rounded off the scoring with a late close-range strike. The win lifted Roma to 11th in the league standings, ending a poor run of form with just their second victory in 10 league games.

Meanwhile, Parma’s struggles on the road continued, leaving them 16th, just one point above the relegation zone.
